GPU & ASIC miner fault assessment

What hardware problems can we investigate?

We assess the reported symptoms, inspect affected circuitry and determine whether a practical repair route is available for the specific hardware.

⚡

Power Faults & No Power

Investigation of devices that will not start, lose power or show unstable power behaviour, including relevant input and power-delivery circuitry.

🌡️

Overheating & Fan Failures

Assessment of cooling-related faults, failed fans, thermal issues and related hardware that may cause high temperatures or shutdowns.

🔥

Burnt or Damaged Components

Inspection for damaged components, heat-affected areas, short circuits and visible board damage, including faults linked to voltage spikes.

📉

Low Hash Rates & Unstable Performance

Investigation of poor or inconsistent mining performance, hardware errors and instability. Actual causes depend on the miner, configuration and operating conditions.

💾

BIOS & Firmware Issues

Assessment of corrupted or problematic GPU BIOS and supported ASIC firmware issues that may affect startup, detection or operation.

🔬

Board & Chip-Level Diagnostics

Component-level fault finding on supported boards, with repair or replacement options for individual components where technically feasible.

🧩

Physical & Heat Damage

Inspection of damage caused by excessive heat, physical impact or electrical stress. The condition of the board and affected layers determines repair feasibility.

🧪

Post-Repair Testing

Approved repairs are checked for relevant power, display or operating behaviour. Testing scope depends on the hardware, fault and available test conditions.

Not every GPU or ASIC miner fault is repairable. Extensive board damage, unavailable components, unsupported models or uneconomical repairs may limit the options. We explain the assessment before you decide.
How it works

A clear process from start to finish

No repair begins until you have received and approved the quotation.

STEP 01

Book an assessment

Send the GPU or ASIC make and model, symptoms and any relevant history, such as overheating or a power surge.

STEP 02

Diagnostic assessment

The hardware and relevant board circuitry are checked to identify the likely fault and repair feasibility.

STEP 03

Receive your quote

We explain the findings, costs and expected timeframe. Work starts only after you approve.

STEP 04

Repair & testing

Approved work is completed and relevant functions are tested before return arrangements are made.

Gauteng collection arrangements

Need help getting your hardware to us?

Questions & answers

GPU & ASIC miner repair FAQs

Helpful information before arranging an assessment.

Which GPUs and miners do you repair?

We assess a range of graphics cards and ASIC miner models. Compatibility and repair feasibility depend on the exact make, model, board revision, fault and availability of suitable components. Send the model details when booking so we can advise on the next step.

How much does it cost to repair a GPU or ASIC miner?

The cost depends on the model, fault, diagnostic requirements, components and complexity of the repair. We assess the device and provide a quotation for approval before work begins.

How long does a GPU or miner repair take?

Timeframes vary with the fault, diagnostic requirements, repair complexity and component availability. We provide an estimated timeframe after assessment.

Can I send my GPU or ASIC miner via courier?

Courier collection and delivery are not standard services. Personal collection by CoreRevive may be requested after 4:00pm, subject to your location and availability. Please request it when booking and wait for confirmation before handover.

Is repairing my GPU or miner worth it?

It depends on the model, fault, parts cost, current value and expected use. We explain the findings and practical options so you can make an informed decision before approving any work.

Are GPU and ASIC miner repairs covered by a warranty?

Qualifying repairs include a six-month warranty on parts and workmanship, subject to the applicable service and warranty terms. Coverage for the proposed repair will be explained with your quotation.

No Fix, No Fee labour guarantee

If the agreed fault cannot be successfully repaired, the labour charge for that repair is not payable. Any parts or other costs specifically agreed in advance are handled separately.

Six-month warranty on qualifying repairs

Qualifying repairs are backed by a six-month warranty on parts and workmanship, subject to the applicable warranty terms and exclusions.
